Hiking in the Montafon
In summer, 1,161 kilometres of hiking trails are waiting to be explored by nature lovers in the Montafon. The southernmost valley in Vorarlberg is surrounded by three impressive mountain ranges: In the north-west by the striking limestone cliffs of the Rätikon, in the south by the partially glaciated Silvretta and in the north-east by the idyllic Verwall European nature reserve.
This marvellous region inspires hikers and climbers alike! Whether easy, medium or challenging half-day, day or multi-day tours - in the mountains of the Rätikon, the Verwall or the Silvretta, no wish remains unfulfilled.

Our Tip:
The Hochjochbahn in Schruns is an impressive panoramic cable car with large cabins and a double chairlift that takes you from the internationally renowned summer spa and winter sports resort of Schruns-Tschagguns from 700 metres to 2,300 metres.
At the top of the Hochjoch, a breathtaking panoramic view of around 200 peaks and a distant view as far as Lake Constance awaits you. The ride on the Hochjochbahn is an experience for the senses, allowing you to experience the beauty of the mountain landscape in all its splendour. It is an ideal opportunity to enjoy nature in all its splendour and admire the majestic peaks from a bird's eye view
