St. Gallenkirch - Gaschurn - Partenen

Perfectly groomed high-altitude cross-country trails await you in the Montafon ski regions. Numerous kilometres of classic cross-country tracks and scenic winter hiking paths invite active guests to explore the snowy landscape. Snowshoe hikers can also venture out on many routes and leave the first footprints in the freshly snow-covered slopes.

Hochmontafon cross-country trail (subject to suitable snow conditions)

The 16-kilometre classic cross-country trail from St. Gallenkirch to Partenen leads you through the breathtaking scenery of the Montafon valley. This particularly healthy winter sport allows you to unwind, leave everyday life behind and recharge your energy for new challenges. The easy to moderately difficult route mostly follows the Ill river and partly runs in scenic loops through the snow-covered mountain landscape.

Silvretta/Bielerhöhe - 2.040 m

Reach your peak performance and enjoy 21 km of pure cross-country skiing pleasure: freshly groomed trails, breathtaking winter panoramas and spectacular views of the surrounding mountain landscape!

The Silvretta-Bielerhöhe offers cross-country trails for every preference. It’s easy to stay active and do something good for your body – cross-country skiing strengthens the cardiovascular system and keeps you fit.

At an altitude of 2,040 metres, the 15-kilometre high-altitude trail “Loipe 2000” runs across the safe ice and snow cover of Lake Silvretta. As the highest cross-country trail in Montafon, it is groomed well into late spring and offers a fantastic experience for both ambitious athletes and families alike.

Kristberg Panorama Trail

The starting point of this 9.3 km panoramic cross-country trail (classic style only), freshly groomed every day, is located at the mountain station of the Montafon Kristberg Cable Car. The mountain station lies directly beside the trail.

Gentle climbs alternate with flat sections along the route. Around every corner a new view awaits, and you’ll often want to pause and take in the scenery. Yet the impressive Lobspitz massif rising ahead seems to draw you onward again and again.

After completing the loop across the Wild Ried plateau, you can take off your skis and relax on one of the resting benches, letting the peaceful mountain landscape work its magic.

Cross-country services: For your convenience, a heated changing room with lockers is available free of charge at the mountain station of the Montafon Kristberg Cable Car, along with two waxing stations. Attractive multi-day passes for cross-country skiers are also available.

No cross-country equipment with you? Or did you forget it at home? You can easily rent equipment at the Silbertal Ski School or at the Panoramagasthof Kristberg.
